Direction to start the career in SAP CRM

I frequently used to see some threads in SDN from the beginners soliciting the direction to start their career in SAP CRM. I can see more than 10 questions/threads on these topics within last 2-3 days. We know lot of information are available in scattered way in different threads of SDN forum but how good it is if we have a guide map available with us. I would suggest the beginners to plan for the SAP CRM training and the certification. You can plan for the certification on CRM fundamentals but if you have the basic knowledge/exposure in SAP CRM or if you have the functional/domain knowledge, you can directly go for SAP Sales, Service or Marketing.
