SAP Community Day in Bangalore Exceeding Expectations
This is an unabashed declaration of admiration for our community activists in India (or should I say Abeshed 🙂 ) . Although the format and the basic contents are duplicated around the globe (speed networking, ustreaming thanks to Craig, BOF sessions, peer-led discussions) India has a special dynamics and offers the opportunity to connect with “old friends” and meet new ones. It was my first face-to-face with https://weblogs.sdn.sap.com/pub/u/251690412 [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] the amazing widget wizard and colleague and quality conversation with Durairaj Athavan Raja who came all the way from Saudi Arabia and graced the Flex sessions with his own demo.
Hooking up with BPXers and subject experts with tangential touchpoints to BPX such as Sapna Modi, the Solution Manager goddess, Arun Varadarajan BPX forum moderator and meeting the SD guru Rajesh Banka who is doing local SDN/BPX community activity in Mumbai (stay tuned for local activity there). Other among many many exciting meetings were with Dipankar Saha whose blogs I am a long time admirer and Somnath Manna of APO, ERP, SCM fame.
Sessions were well attended, conversation was stimulating, chai was delicious, people were engaged, engaging, welcoming, enthused.
Very moving for me was the entrance to SAP Labs where prominently displayed is a wall depicting the CSR @SAPlabs India activities http://www.flickr.com/photos/marilynpratt/sets/72157603304281164/. Inspiring and engenders great respect for the work of my SAP colleagues outside the office.
Looking forward to a dynamic few days at TechEd.
See you at the Business Process Knowledge Table in a very beautifully laid out clubhouse.
