As an IT executive, you are always looking for ways to drive down operating costs and reinvest the savings to support innovation. You want to reduce the complexity of your IT landscapes, make optimum use of existing computer assets, and create an increasingly flexible infrastructure in order to respond faster to the needs of your users and changing business conditions.

To help you meet these challenges, SAP, in cooperation with its technology partners, is helping to drive cost savings for its customers by supporting the adaptive computing concept. Because the SAP NetWeaverTM platform enables the latest advances in adaptive computing, you have a way to significantly reduce your operational costs and leverage high performance provided by SAP NetWeaver.
Most current IT infrastructures consist of several systems running on multiple servers in multitier environments. SAP's approach to adaptive computing allows you to harmonize and consolidate your IT infrastructure and optimize the management of your SAP systems.

The objective of Adaptive Computing is to operate
"any service - any time - on any server".

Adaptive Computing Controller is a tool that provides a single point of control that allows you to operate, observe, and manage your adaptive computing landscape. One of the main concepts is to enable an operator to manage a SAP landscape without deep technical knowledge of the underlying IT infrastructure.
Now, a brand new version of Adaptive Computing Controller is on the way. Some new features of Adaptive Computing Controller are:

  • Improvements of ACC usability
  • Integration into one common agent framework
  • Enhanced SAP instance support
