SAP NetWeaver CE 7.1 SR3 download available!
SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment 7.1 SR3, the composite development toolbox, is available as a 90 days evaluation download. It’s a development edition for local development, only for non-productive evaluation purposes. You can get the installation package on SDN’s download page .
SAP NetWeaver CE 7.1 consists of
- SAP’s Web Application Server (SAP Web AS), based on Java EE 5 technology
- Mighty UI tools, like Web Dynpro Java and Visual Composer
- Offline capabilities made available by interactive forms by Adobe and e-mail techniques
- Composite Application Framework, i.e. service enabling and consumption on a high, reliable and efficient level
- Process Modeling with guided procedures
- NetWeaver Administrator (NWA) to configure your applications in a fast and easy way

Installation takes only 1/2 – 3/2 hours (time experience with a 2 GHz, 2 GByte RAM, Windows XP machine). Go ahead, download and try SAP NetWeaver CE 7.1 SR3 before others do it.

I think Wolfgang meant the release notes/changelog especially for SP3.
And I also want to know the differences between SP1 and SP3. Where could I find this?

Do you talk about an evaluation version? If yes, I must say that SAP only offers an evaluation version for windows.
'Fullblown' CE for Linux is available for full-licensed users. You can check the appropiate platform in the PAM (product availability matrix) within SAP's service marketplace.

Short answer is yes.
I personnaly have NWDS 7.0.13 and NWDS 7.1 SP4 installed on the same machine.
I do not run them simultaniously but individually and I did not experience any problem at this time.

Is it possible to get Calendar UI element in NWDS 7.09, But calendar UI element is availble in CE.

when would we be able to obtain a license in the UK? can a organisation with no EP (enterprise portal) make use of this?(visual composer)
CE SR3 is generally available since Dec 2007. You can get and use it productively if you've (your company) owns a NetWeaver license. CE automatically comes with a "light portal" so there's no precondition that you need a full EP as basis for CE.
