Welcome back to the PICTURE Blog in the Public Sector BPX community at SDN! In this issue we will briefly discuss the different target groups and potential users of the PICTURE approach and tool.
PICTURE has four major target groups:
European Public Administrations: PICTURE will create a transparent view on administrative process landscapes and uncover the application areas of useful ICT components. Thus, it supports decision makers in public administrations to develop a successful and coherent IT strategy. Civil servants will also be involved in PICTURE projects for modeling the processes they are executing in their day-to-day work.
ICT Market: PICTURE will increase transparency concerning ICT value for Public Administration processes. Thus, the European software and hardware ICT market will gain new business opportunities.
European citizens and businesses: PICTURE will enhance the diffusion of useful ICT components. Thus service quality will improve in terms of time, cost, and effectiveness.
Research community: The conceptual foundations of the process landscaping and the impact measurement module are presented at scientific conferences and broadly disseminated in the research community.
Some of the target groups have been approached with the PICTURE exhibition booth at eChallenges 2007 which was held in The Hague (Netherlands) from October 24 – 26. The PICTURE team received quite positive feedback from the interested visitors at the conference and established new contacts.
