Introduction
The Enterprise Widget Foundation launched on SDN a couple of days back supports REST based calls to return data from a ERP backend system in XML format which can then be used to create widgets. Till now the focus was more or less restricted to Yahoo! Widget Engine.
With new UI Technologies like Adobe Flex and Adobe AIR coming up and providing better UI with very little coding I wanted to explore this avenue. My AIR knowledge being very limited, I used Adobe Flex for this blog.
This Blog show's how one can consume the Enterprise Widget Foundation services from Adobe Flex 2.0.
