You’ve most probably followed all the news about SAP’s NetWeaver Composition Environment and are eager to learn more about the details of composite applications and how to develop them with SAP NetWeaver CE. Well, help is on its way: we are happy to announce the availability of the programming handbook for the SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment.
With this book we want to give a comprehensive introduction to the world of composite applications. To understand the toolset that is coming with the Composition Environment, we first have to understand what composite applications are all about and what differentiates them from conventional applications. After a detailed explanation of composite applications we explain, how CE fits into this picture. By guiding you through a little example you get first experiences with the tools. After that a more detailed discussion of the tools (Guided Procedures, Visual Composer, Composite Application Framework) reveals more tricks how you can optimize your composites even further.
Besides the development aspects we also discuss how to specify a composite application: which data has to be provided by a product manager or business expert to the architect so that he is able to find the right solution for a business problem.
We hope that this book helps you to get a jump start into the world of composite applications. Currently it is only available in German. We expect the English version to be ready at the beginning of next year.
