Our session, EPI350: Developing Connectors with the Universal Worklist API, will cover exactly what the title says - how to develop connectors to integrate third-party task or workflow systems into the NetWeaver Portal via the UWL.
We'll start by taking a close look at UWL and connector concepts as well as the UWL architecture. We'll briefly cover the UWL service API and go into more detail when covering the connector API.
We'll be talking about how to define custom item types and sub-views, as well as how to implement basic functions for these item types.
A large part of the presentation will talk about the details of implementing a connector, with code samples. Finally, we'll show you how to register a newly developed connector before moving on to the hands-on part of the session, in which you'll develop your own basic RSS reader for the UWL.
