Hopefully you have read Jan Rauscher's SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment at TechEd: Which Sessions Should I Attend? about CE sessions of interest to software engineers and architects.
Or maybe you saw Dirk Ammerman's SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment at TechEd: Part II – Sessions for IT Managers and Project Lead... on CE sesssions for IT managers and project leaders. Dirks blog has some very good sessions for business process experts as well. I will repeat a couple of them in this blog, but if you want good overview sessions, please read Dirk's blog in detail.

So, if Composition Environment is for software engineers, architects, IT managers, project leaders, what's left for Business Process Experts? Lots and lots!! When you talk about Composition Environment you must pair business process experts with developers. The developers will provide the services and user interfaces such as Web Dynpro interfaces. However, business process experts can play a very active role in topics such as form integration, process modeling and design, and simple user interfaces such as simple Visual Composer applications.

So, this week as you finalize your TechEd schedule, please consider including some sessions on SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment!!!

If your primary interest is lecture sessions, then the following three should be on your list:

CE100 - SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment 7.1 in Detail (2 hour lecture) -
Composite applications empower companies to drive innovative business processes, leveraging existing IT investments. SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment provides a methodology and toolset to efficiently develop and manage composite applications, following enterprise service-oriented architecture (enterprise SOA) principle. SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment c omprises infrastructure components such as SAP Web Application Server, Web Dynpro-based user interfaces, infrastructure for voice-based applications, business process management for workflow support, and an infrastructure for service and business object definition.

CE101 - Enterprise SOA and the Road to Composition (1 hour lecture) -
Composite applications empower companies to drive business process innovation and agility, leveraging existing enterprise service-oriented architecture (enterprise SOA) assets. SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment provides a methodology and an Eclipse-based toolset to efficiently develop, manage, and deploy composite applications, following SAP's enterprise SOA principle. SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment combines infrastructure components such as SAP Java EE 5 Application Server, Web Dynpro-based user interfaces, SAP NetWeaver Visual Composer for UI modeling, guided procedures for collaborative process modeling, and an infrastructure for service and business object definition.

CE300 - Delivering Consistent Results with a Reference Architecture for the SAP Composition Environment - (1 hour customer lecture)
This session is for Enterprise Architects, but I recommend it for BPX people as well because it's a good chance to hear from a customer. Rao is from Cardinal Health and I'm sure he'll provide a some great 'real-world' information!

If your primary interest is hands-on sessions, then the following three should be on your list:
CE150 - Defining Composite Processes with Guided Procedures in SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment 7.1 (2 hour hands-on) -
This is a 2 hour hands-on session on building Guided Procedures. We do not assume any previous knowledge of Guided Procedures and it will be a chance to really get your hands dirty!

CE251 - Advanced Techniques with Guided Procedures in SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment 7.1 (4 hour hands-on) -
This is a 4 hour hands-on session on building Guided Procedures. You should attend CE150 before coming if you do not have any previous experience. The lecture will be 30 minutes and the rest is all exercises! In this session you will model a process using multiple blocks and will use Visual Composer user interfaces, web service calls, forms, and other fun topics!

CE153- Modeling in Visual Composer for SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment (2 hour hands on) -

This 2 hour session will show you how to create simple user interfaces without writing any code!

I look forward to seeing YOU at TechEd!!!
