Back by popular demand: The hands-on session “Configuring J2EE and SAP NetWeaver Portal UME Authentication” at SAP Teched 2007 is once again presented this year at SAP Teched in Las Vegas and Munich. In fact, due to the regular scheduled 2 sessions already being fully booked we were asked to present the session a third time. Which is scheduled for Friday morning (my luck).

The session will include an overview of SAP supported authentication mechanisms for the SAP NetWeaver Portal. The hands-on exercises will focus on header based authentication in which we simulate a Web Access Management product to configure the logon stack for the SAP NetWeaver Portal to use the headervariableloginmodule.

In the second exercise we will configure the SAP NetWeaver Portal to authenticate using rule based X.509 certificates. Due to the continued popularity of this session I recommend you sign up quickly! The session ID is SIM250.
