My colleagues Jin Shin and I (SAP Teched Las Vegas)Stefan Grube and Udo Paltzer(SAP Teched Munich) would like to welcome you to the session EPI254 at Teched ’07.

In this session, we will introduce you to one of the new capabilities of SAPNetweaver Process Integration PI 7.10  – XML Validation.

Many XML-based industry standards such as RosettaNet, CIDX, PIDX, etc., explicitly specify the requirement for validating XML messages at the various stages of the message processing.

XML Validation allows you to check the structure of a SAP NetWeaver Process Integration (SAP NetWeaver PI) message payload. The structure check is performed using saved data types. In the SAP NetWeaver PI, XML validation is used for the internal A2A integration and for the external B2B integration. The syntax validator will check the payload against the configured schema.

In this session, you will learn about the architecture of the XML validation within the SAP NetWeaver PI and how the SAP NetWeaver PI message payload is validated against the configured schema at the adapter engine and at the Integration Engine. You will also learn how to configure the SAP Netweaver PI for performing XML validation for synchronous and asynchronous messages in the inbound and outbound message processing.

This session is followed by a 2 hour hands-on exercise covering step-by-step configuration of SAP Netweaver PI for performing XML Validation at the adapter engine and at the integration engine for both synchronous and asynchronous scenarios.

Hope to see you all there!!!
