Hi all,

It’s been awhile since I last blogged and now that I have fully moved into my new New/Old Community Team Member and Chief Evangelist or Community Guy as head of the Community and Collaboration Services team I decided now was as good a time as any.

For those of you who don’t know me my name is Michael Schwandt and I work in our Walldorf office with folks like Craig, Karin and https://weblogs.sdn.sap.com/pub/u/251791586 [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken]. I’ve been on the SDN team and project for quite awhile going back to the early days and was mainly responsible for the internal projects.

There are two reasons that I wanted to blog today and both center around SAP TechEd and our Community and Collaboration services. These are of course our Forums, Wiki and the Blogging and that of course is not mention the fact that we provide 3 ways to “blog” those be the written type like this one here or here as well as audio and video forms here  and here. So multiple ways for you to share “your” story with the rest of the community.

Many others are already starting to share their stories of SAP TechEd and the sessions they are taking or even just wanting to see, have a look. Some have even created their very own TV channel to share their story even our very own Chip Rodgers () created a whole video about what it’s like behind the scenes. Our famous “Blag” has started a The specified item was not found. as well, and http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/weblogs?blog=/pub/u/251690412 [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] has helped us create this year’s new Clubhouse Widget as well as some interesting “Countdown” Countdown to SAP TechED… for your website.

Even new comer to the SDN and BPX team http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/weblogs?blog=/pub/u/251816479 [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] has decided to not only give a Organizational Change Management – Live @ TechEd Las Vegas but start taking feedback now to make the session even better at TechEd.

With all that in mind, and with still a very strong interest in quality and excellent content I have decided to “open” the blogging applications once again for SAP TechEd – if you want to blog about your experiences please submit your application and the team will be in touch shortly – Community TV requires no application just a user on their site and you to click “Produce on this Channel” when watching either the SDN or BPX channels.

On top of that I’ve decided also that anyone giving us at least a 3 part series on their experiences while at TechEd (must include photos to show that you were there) will receive a bonus of 50 points. Now many I’ve noticed are not very excited about the use of points and that topic I will be addressing here soon in a future blog so watch for it!

Wow – Michael Schwandt is blogging! This is great.  Michael didn’t say it exactly, but he has been around since the very earliest days of SDN four years ago.  He worked mostly in the background so he’s not as well-known as Mark Finnern, Craig, Marilyn, Gali, and others, but is a very important member of the management team who has been steering many of our big projects from behind the scenes.  You’ll get to meet Michael in person at Community Day and in the Clubhouse in his big unveiling.
