Last year, I had the opportunity to attend SDN Day (as it was called then) at Amsterdam and Bangalore. I must admit that the event in Amsterdam was much much better in every aspect – networking, content of presentations, attendance and the evening event (I can’t remember the evening event in Bangalore but I loved “Boom Chicago” in Amsterdam).

This year, I had a look at the BOF topics for Bangalore and noticed the following –

1. The deadline for submitting BOF Topics has been extended to October 1st.
2. It is possible to accomodate 16 sessions, but at the moment there are only 12 topics.
3. And these 12 topics have been submitted by 12 people which includes Craig and Mark!!!

The question is – where are the rest? India has the second largest number of SDNers in the world. So isn’t it time to show the world that the community is pretty strong here and definitely not the case of single user having multiple user ids (if you know what I mean). So if you are interested in building up a strong SDN Community here, just go to the link I have mentioned above and put your name there on the list. And of course, don’t forget to attend the Community Day. It may sound funny but we had lots of absentees last time.

Remember, this is an opportunity to network with other SDNers and expand your circle of friends. Exchange ideas and enjoy the informal atmosphere in a professional manner.

I will be attending Community Day Bangalore. Hope to see you there. Of course, this time around we will plan to have a great evening too.
