Alvaro just The specified item was not found. about that he will be blogging his whole experience coming to SAP TechEd in Las Vegas and of course within a few hours he has 16 comments many of which are from others stating when they arrive and if everyone should get together for a drink or not.

I noticed that you are getting in on the 30th. You know if there are enough SDNers getting in on Sunday we could try and meet up for a beer. – Thomas Jung

Now many of you might not know it but the entire SDN and BPX TechEd teams will already be there and in place working hard to ensure everything is ready for the Tim O’Reilly Up close and Personal at the Community Day the next morning. Most of us are arriving in the afternoon on Sunday (we’ll run into many of you at the airport for sure) and will begin our work with meetings and walk thrus and such followed by some nice food and a drink or two.

And sometimes lots to do – thanks to Thomas for the photo and for this one below.

Now when I read Blag’s blog I realized that Thomas and the others were of course reviving the community tradition of the “bar”, captured I think appropriately in the image here; who can’t beat free Wifi (Wireless) and 1€ Jager shots?

So although I will be detained and otherwise engaged I wanted to be sure to do my part to ensure that everyone in Las Vegas on Sunday, September 30, 2007, knew there was a meetup and get together.

Couldn’t help notice the price on one of the signs. Well, I saved a few from my layover in Frankfurt last week on the way back from Hyderabad, along with some Rupees. If they take both, I guess I will be fixed up OK….but maybe I should watch my behavior since this is the first time in 5 years of working on CN (SDN, DevNet, CSIN…….) that I have been allowed out of my cage to meet real people 😉
