TechEd’07 Session EPI251(Learning how to integrate applications using the web services reliable messaging Protocol) proposes you to take a look at the new capabilities of SAP NetWeaver.
The idea behind this session is show you how to design and implement a real-life enterprise services scenario from an outside-in approach -from the beginning till the end- and using both the new Enterprise Services Framework and SAP NetWeaver PI.
Enterprise Services Repository modeling won’t be covered in this session, but can get a good introduction to modeling in PI hands-on session EPI150.
The implementation will fully exploit the advantages of SAP NetWeaver PI in the Enterprise Services arena. It will also introduce a replication pattern that allows integrating applications synchronously with quality of service exactly once, using a dynamic “two-phase-commit” like environment.
Session in Detail
The session starts defining a typical integration scenario, where the consumer application “orchestrates” the creation documents in provider systems.
You will learn how to create new service interfaces in PI using operations (new feature of the forthcoming version).
Later you will route these operations to the required provider system at runtime, to consume the web services.
And finally, you will create a sample web service consumer and test the scenario reaction in different situations.
To have a better understanding of the components involved in this hands-on session, you could consider taking a look at the following SDN articles:
