I am excited to do a first webcast with ASUG members next week around the BPX Community and what our community can do for their organizations. Our relationship with our customers is important and as a result our ties with ASUG are as strong as ever. Together with Paul Kurchina, ASUG Communities Director and Deb Boykin, who presently is working for and SAP customer, Wyeth, as a visionary in their business process transformation office, we will be holding a 90 minutes webcast.

This will be a first in a series of webcasts we will do with ASUG this fall and winter. This is a first step towards our community day http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/communityday that we will hold together with ASUG members, partners, and top contributors.

During the webcast we will address some of the practical aspects of what it means to be or become a Business Process Expert (BPX), including examining the necessary evolution from roles today such as business analyst, SAP application expert or technical expert to Business Process Expert.  The session will focus on common sense steps that will evolve your skill set and help you participate, network in the BPX Community and add value to your overall career.

The following questions will be discussed and hopefully addressed during this Webcast:

Who are Business Process Experts?
What is a Business Process Expert’s potential role within an organization?  How do they fit in with Enterprise Architects and the Business Process Platform?
What skills do Business Process Experts need to evolve and why?  What tools and methodologies are available from SAP to assist with this change?  – Examples will be provided by Deb Boykin, who has gone some of these changes herself at Wyeth and Coors.
Why is SAP building a community for Business Process Professionals?
BPX at TechEd: What is happening at TechEd for BPX Community members?
What are the advantages of attending TechEd and joining the BPX Community?

Now this webcast is specifically for ASUG members, however we will be recording it and make it available to our community afterwards.

Looking forward to interact with you all who will be able to attend !
