Occasionally you come across something on the net that you remove any thought of who did it or why they did but instead you say WHY CAN’T our community do that?

I had one of those days just this week. I got an email saying hey check out this cool video clip.

The irony of course you’ll pick up on when you watch it, the person I got it from was not aware of the irony themselves. But it got me thinking none the less.  Here we are in the digital age and we’ve such an awesome community, we also happen to have the ability to embed audio or video into our blogs or even link to mp3/mp4’s in the blogs to make them available for download via your favorite means.  So I thought why not throw our a contest, I’ve not done one myself in ages and it’s about time!  So here’s the contest details:

  • Deadline: September 15, 2007
  • Pariticipation: 160 points (easy enough, right?)
  • Community Vote: until September 30, 2007
  • Top 3 winners announced and shown at the Community Clubhouse during Las Vegas, Munich and Bangalore TechEd’s right before SDN Quiz!
  • Max 5 mins video clip

Additonal bonus if you have a submission completed by July 31, 2007 (contest deadline for TechEd Contest) you get an additional 40 points.  Let your creative juices flow!

Then be able to count yourself amongst the members of the Community Videocasters

We have some incredibly talented and creative people in our community (Mario Herger, we throw down the gauntlet) who I’m sure could produce a great video on SAP, SDN, BPX, their TechEd experience, their daily work life on NetWeaver…  I look forward to seeing the entries.  Great ones will get visibility via SDN and BPX, and the best of the best will be seen at TechEd in all locations.
