SAP NetWeaver 7.0 BI: Data Transfer Process (DTP) / Blog Series
The goal of this blog is to bundle the information related to the Data Transfer Process (DTP). The documents listed below are describing the different DTP features and “data flow” capabilities in detail. The general definition of a DTP is: A Data Transfer Process transports data from one data source to one data target. Please find the different links to the documents below:

- Any ideas? Any needs?
I hope the series helps you to understand the DTP capabilities.
really liked the series idea...you know I was planning for the same since long...missed it:)...anyways I read your last 3 published blogs of the series, its really very informative-:)
Great Contribution!!!
I think you are missing with 'Error DTP' concept in your series, you can also include reference to my blog in your series...lol
'Error DTP' - BI@2004s
Kamaljeet @KJ...
I added your blog... despite I miss the Semantic Group integration and the different behaviour for the different InfoProvider.
We are currently upadting the documentation, therefore I have not added the blog yet.
Thanks a lot for your input!
Cheers Michael
Sometimes you want to reconstruct an InfoProvider without changing the InfoProviders in the flow afterwards. In 3.x you had the possibility to do this with the aid of an infopackage "delta init without data".
How does this work with DTP?
Thanks for the blogs. I would like to suggest an example of the complication of the DTP when you have a DSO inserted into the path from datasource to cube. This design is being promoted by SAP and the complications to data loading is not well documented. I'm referring to the dissapearence of data marts, no longer needing Initializations, those types of things.
Thanks again,
Chris
Do you have any plans to provide blog "Blog: Modeling a Write Optimized DataStore object in a EDW layered architecture in SAP NetWeaver BI7.0" marked as "... In process"?
Thanks,

Thank you.
Hi Michael,
all blogs are very useful.
if possible can you upload documents with latest version of BW.
