Finally getting back on track, here we have (for lack of better thinking) episode 1 of the Community Update ’07. Today Craig and Gali have a chat about what’s new and happening in the community. Covering topics from Gali’s Weekly Roundup to the new International Stories to the up and coming Free TechEd and Community Day Tickets for Top Contributors

My colleagues have my admiration.  This was very nicely done and summarized some great points about the use of tagging and labels in the wiki profiles.  The podcast chat (podchat?) represents an example of the best kind of “social networking” and reminded us to use labels and language specifics in the wiki community profiles.
“Social networking (which, sic) enables individual members to share explicit relationships with people and forums. Members use their home pages as rich representations of their preferences- which enable them to express their identity through explicitly shared forum membership and connections to other members.” (from Common Craft)
Just met the French Canadian volunteer chapter head of ASUG’s French speaking group.  Maybe we can get additional French content going.
Thanks Gali and Craig for a really fun to listen to chat.  Keep it going weekly!
