Introduction:
The latest versions of SAP MDM i.e. SP05 has many interesting enhancements like role based access to repository, scheduled syndication, on demand syndication etc In this blog On Demand Syndication is explained in detail. What is On Demand Syndication?
On Demand Syndication is achieved by triggering Data Management workflow. A new workflow step Syndicate is introduced in the Data Management Workflow.
Pre-requisite:
MDM Server
MDM Syndication server
MDM Syndicator (for Map creation)
MDM Data Manager
MDM Console
MDM workflow
MS Visio
The version of all the MDM components are MDM 5.5SP05.
The Process:
Port Details:
Port Name: Synport
Remote System: R3
Type: Outbound
Map: OuntboundMap
Processing Type: Manual
Workflow Details:
Workflow Name: SyndWkflw
The workflow used has the following step start, syndicate and stop.
Trigger:
Make sure that the Syndication Service is up and running and the MDSS.ini is set with correct User and Password.
Select a record from the Data Manager, assign and trigger the syndicate workflow to it.
Output:
Check if the record is posted in the ready folder of the appropriate port.
