Cross posted on Craig’s Rantings…

I’m always amazed when I am asked to “speak” at something, seems odd to me considering a few years ago I was hacking away at code in the basement of a company at 3:00 in the morning knowing I had 20 seconds to make my way the length of a football field to escape if there was a fire or basically die – that one project you never forget, but a story for another time. So back to this story. Robin, who I met in Atlanta sent over a request to find out if one of us (from the SAP Community team) would be available to speak and so it looks like I drew the “short straw” and will have the pleasure of taking on the task. Quite exciting as well…

Blogs, social networking sites and other Web 2.0 functionalities have forever changed the consumer online experience. Now that these online communities are translating to the business world, they can be powerful tools for BtoB marketing.
Join us for a live Q&A roundtable, featuring industry experts from Ogilvy Public Relations, Ning, SAP AG and Communispace. The panel will discuss their experiences with building online communities, and the potential applications for business-to-business marketing.

Now Robin actually did a little interview with each of us and recorded a small portion for everyone to have a listen to ahead of time.

So I’m looking forward to the event as well as each of you tuning in to listen! Extra cool is that I actually know the moderator this time around, it’s Robin Fray Carey http://www.bulldogsolutions.net/#herself 🙂

what a big smile it put on my face when I followed your links.

    BtoB :-))

Five megs funding to the BtoB marketers. And the best is BtoB Enterprise, that is Business To Business Enterprise (sic)!

I feel like the 1999-bubbleteers( © ) have been resuscitated and their first big hit is evolving formerly known B2B to BtoB. Excellent idea.

    still smiling,

Thanks for the heads up on this webinar!  My company is exploring the need and scope of an online collaboration tool that may morph into a full fledged community.  For whatever reason (I don’t ask why when asked to innovate) the powers that be have deemed it necessary to involve me in this exploratory adventure.   I have sent out invites to the entire team, some are SAP professionals and some are not.  This should be a good talk and I look forward to hearing what you and the others have to say on this ever more important topic.

287 people signed up the first day alone – should be quite interesting! Glad to know I’ll know at least one person listening 🙂
