TechEd’07 Call for Papers is Now On! In case you missed it (but how could you?), the TechEd’07 “call for papers” is open. All you have to do to play an active role — and gain real, tangible benefits — is to submit a proposal with your topic. Deadline Extended to This Sunday The original deadline of May 2nd has been extended to midnight (U.S. Pacific time) on Sunday May 6th for you to propose a presentation topic. From those submitted, our SDN and BPX community members will select 45 to be presented… 15 at each of three locations. Big Benefits for Presenters If you’re one of those selected to present at TechEd’07, you’ll get a 60-minute time slot on the stage with a microphone, lectern, projector, and a roomful of interested and supportive attendees. You’ll also get more than your 60-minutes of fame. TechEd presenters get a free lecture-only ticket to either Las Vegas, Munich, or Bangalore. Presenters also get loaded-up with 130 SDN and BPX points as our show of appreciation. Some will be immortalized on video and featured in our “Premium Access Zone” (PAZ) for replay by all of the full-ticket TechEd attendees, and by anyone else who chooses to purchase PAZ access. It’s alot of fun to be at the center of the action at TechEd. Not convinced? … Just check-out these photos and these videos. Best of all, you receive the adoration and appreciation of colleagues for sharing your knowledge, experience, and wisdom so that others can learn from and adopt your ideas. More Information, and Plenty of It See SAP TechEd ’07 Calls for Your Session Proposals for plenty of good info on the process, timing, and other details. Christina is our speaker wrangler, providing support and assistance, and offers Don’t Let Anxiety Keep You from Speaking at SAP TechEd. The official TechEd’07 websites jump-off from here, with individual sites for each of the locations in case you’d like more information on when and where. And the TechEd session proposal submission page has everything else you need to know. We Hope You’ll Take the Spotlight at TechEd’07 … but your first step is to submit by this Sunday May 6th at midnight.
Deadline in other time zones
Guys in Sydney get until 5pm on Monday to get ready – is anyone coming from Sydney?
regards,
Nigel
I saw a fairly large number of people from Australia and New Zealand and South Africa at the Las Vegas event last year. I guess folks from that part of the world (and English-speaking countries?) lean toward Vegas versus Munich or Bangalore? I suspect there will be people from a variety of countries at each location this year…
Nigel and others: I’ll be in in Melbourne the first week of June at the “Mastering SAP Technologies” conference (see this link: http://www.masteringsap.com/tech/index.php). Mark Finnern will be there, as will Thomas Jung, Marco ten Vaanholt from the BPX community, a keynote by Simon Dale… We’re holding a “Community Day” on the afternoon before it kicks-off officially, so I hope to see SDNers and BPXers there in full force. Please sign-up for “Community Day” when you register for the event.
Speaking of events, folks might want to keep an eye on this page (https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/events) since it’s where we list many of the recommended ones. Going on right now is the SAP Technology Tour, which comes to ~50 cities around the world (see http://www.sap.com/company/events/technologytour2007/index.epx).
Regards,
Mark Yolton
So make sure you vote for my presentation when voting opens! (Cheeky grin – or is that a feisty grin Marilyn?)
Cheers,
Nigel
I was a presenter last year in Las Vegas, unfortunately for me the video recording of the session took place in Europe!
For TechEd 2007, are you planning to record session in Las Vegas?
Regards!
