One of the major characteristics of the SAP CRM application is the possibility of integartion with other systems. The solution not only offers integration of different channels but also offers process integration (can connect to the R/3 systems for billing and shipping). This integration ensure that the data is consistent across the whole sales cycle. The exchange of data between CRM Online, other SAP and non-SAP Systems is achieved through CRM Middleware and is based on the principle of data replication.Mobile Adapters is the componenet that helps in the integartion between the Mobile Sales and Service Application with the CRM server. Mobile Adapters basically does the mapping of the Synchronisation BDoc (MSA understandable format) to Messaging BDOc (CRM understandable format). Adapters are essential for the communication between the MSA application to CRM because : - CRM Online Data Model is quite different from the MSA Data Model. - CRM Online follows Messaging Bdoc(mBDoc) and MSA follows Synchronization Bdoc(SBDoc). - There is a need for mapping of Information from the CRM Mbdoc to MSA SBdoc and Vice Versa.
