Thanks for this info. I installed the new version today.
I don't really see what was changed with the splitter editor. 🙁 Can you provide some detail?
SAP Tweak GUI is a good idea. I tried to set "XP design theme", but I couldn't select it 🙁 It seems there is no such folder in c:\Program Files\SAP\FrontEnd\SAPgui\themes\. Is it the same for you?
Hopefully it will be fixed with patch.
Best regards,
Peter
AFAIK, certain "tweaking" of SAP GUI is possible even with older versions via Windows Control Panel applet (not sure about other OS-es)

OSS Note 950052 (SAP GUI for Windows 7.10: Beta program - updates and FAQ) also mentions the "Dynpro Splitter (an improved version of the known Splitter Control)", so there is something changed on the GUI itseld. Most probable it's only visible with a 7.10 system.

Peter
Secondly I noticed the BI 7.10 componant for 2004s is now in a seperate install and support stream. Why is this being split out from the SAPGUI?

"Support for new NetWeaver developer tools: Code Completion, new ABAP frontend Editor and the new ABAP debugger. "
Does anyone have info about what the change is for the new ABAP debugger?
Thanks,
Peter
The new SAPGui parts of features always get rolled out first to make sure they are available before any customers reach the necessary backend levels. It wouldn't be any fun to get an upgraded backend system but not be able to use new features yet because you are waiting on an updated Gui. 🙂
Around the frontend editor there are also some fixes and minor enhancements, but I do believe that the majority of these also found their way into a recent patch for the 6.40 gui. One of the fixes I noticed was better use of the auto closing brackets for field-symbols.
Thanks for the info.
Unfortunately having the latest GUI without the latest backend is not fun either 🙂

- Exporting an ABAP Query list via F7 to Excel-2007 started 'normaly':
-- It started Excel-2007
-- The data was transported into Excel-2007
But....most of the data was scrambled with 'strange' characters: it looked like a country setting / language settings problem under Windows, so I tried many different combinations, but sofar unsuccessfully.....
Anyone with 'the' solution ?
