Former Member January 10, 2007 at 11:50 pm Hi,i guess it’s a very cool widget; unfortunately i get always an error message: Cannot load BI Query. please change to offline mode in preferences. another window appears: error.i tired it with several cubes / queries, but no success. it seems that the widget can’t establish the connection to BW. Any idea? like (0) Durairaj Athavan Raja January 11, 2007 at 1:19 am Cool Idea. But i am also getting the same error as Marc mentioned. RegardsRaja like (0) Former Member Post authorJanuary 11, 2007 at 7:58 am Hey guys,Let me know if you still have an issue after trying that or if the widget doesn’t work even though the web service is accessed. like (0) Former Member January 11, 2007 at 11:55 pm Hey, Marc like (0) Former Member Post authorJanuary 12, 2007 at 7:57 am Looks like a problem on the backend then. Go to transaction WSADMIN and test the queryviewdata web service by launching it in the Web Service Navigator. For details on how to do this, see this preliminary version of this how-to guide: https://sapmats-us.sap-ag.de/download/download.cgi?id=33QASD9QGLADC0IKMN0FSCK3RJDTTUL4AHCA69JPBK61FXA8G1 Let me know if the web service works when testing it through the web service navigator… like (0) Former Member January 12, 2007 at 10:03 am perfect. now it works. thanks lot.the how-to-paper is really brilliant. like (0) Former Member February 6, 2007 at 9:00 pm Hi Prakash I was able to download the widget, but i am getting an error while downloading the preliminary version of how-to guide. like (0) Former Member February 6, 2007 at 9:31 pm I did a search and i got the how-to guide. Thanks for the cool widget! like (0) Durairaj Athavan Raja January 19, 2007 at 10:12 pm Hi Praksh, like (0) Former Member Post authorJanuary 19, 2007 at 11:29 pm Looks like the issue is with your web service access if you’re getting the short dump for SOAP_CORE. Please work through customer messages to troubleshoot that SOAP_CORE issue with your web service. The problem isn’t on the widget side for that issue… like (0) Durairaj Athavan Raja January 19, 2007 at 11:35 pm I understand that the problem isn’t on the widget side for that issue. Since i understand you understand both parts (widget and webservice) i thought you could answer. I am still not able to understand why it works through wsnavigator of J2EE and produces SOAP_CORE error in the other scenario i have mentioned. Thanks for your time. RegardsRaja like (0) Durairaj Athavan Raja January 20, 2007 at 2:21 am I slightly modified the global_include.js file as shown below and now the widget works fine. Thanks for the excellent widget.Raja like (0) Former Member Post authorJanuary 20, 2007 at 10:51 am In my next version, I’ll escape the url as well as to make sure nobody else has the same problem you had. Thanks for the tip… like (0) Durairaj Athavan Raja January 20, 2007 at 8:36 pm Thanks Prakash. In my opinion the coolest part of your widget is rendring of the XML in two dimensional table format, linking axisdata & cell data. Thanks again. RegardsRaja like (0) Former Member Post authorJanuary 11, 2007 at 11:57 am Also, I’ve updated the screenshot above. Make sure the host is entered with the port. For example, in the sceenshot above, you see the host as “cdphl338.phl.sap.corp:1080” This is the ABAP host and ABAP HTTP port. Also, make sure the client for the ABAP system is specified. Please validate and let me know if this works. like (0) Former Member January 15, 2007 at 5:24 am Superb work Prakash! I was just wondering if you are developing something on the Google Gadget framework too? CheersAnand like (0) Former Member Post authorJanuary 17, 2007 at 8:43 am I might in the future, but have no plans to do that now. One framework at a time … : ) I will have another version of this widget that has scrollbars (vertical and horizontal) as well as suppress results rows, export to excel, export to pdf, etc… There’s a lot I have planned and the version out here is just version 1.0. Stay tuned… like (0) Former Member March 9, 2007 at 5:40 am Hi Prakash , I have downloaded your BI widget V2 & m trying to test the service in SICF.The service is in active state but still it gives an error: 500 internel error, page can not be displayed…what could be the cause ?? See the pre-requisites in the attached how-to guide. like (0) Former Member January 17, 2007 at 10:22 am I like this Widget a lot -:) If a great example for newcomers and might get a lot of people interested in Widget development. Greetings, Blag. like (0) Former Member Post authorJanuary 17, 2007 at 10:39 am I’m glad you like it. I’m also planning on updating the offline mode such that when you pull data, it writes it and stores it locally. Then the next time if you’re offline, it will just use the stored dataset. I’ll add the last refreshed timestamp to the widget as well… Lots of new things coming so stay tuned… like (0) YUNUS KALDIRIM November 8, 2007 at 12:39 am Hi Prakash,I have installed widget. Q:I have problem on language characters. Is there any settings for ISO8859-9 Turkish character set? S:An amazing widget like management cockpit. But It will be more perfect if we can add more queries and see them on different docks.Maybe in different colors. Yours sincerely, like (0) Former Member Post authorNovember 8, 2007 at 4:04 pm The widget can be run today with many different widgets on the desktop in many different colors. You can just create multiple copies of the widget with different file names. I know about the Language problem and the ISO8859-9 Turkish character set. I’m trying to get full Unicode support, but unfortunately, this involves a change in the ABAP stack and we have an open message on this currently. like (0) Former Member November 25, 2007 at 10:19 pm hi please could you send me the sent PDF docs nad also donwloadable widget file… like (0) Former Member Post authorNovember 26, 2007 at 9:53 am Hey, Here’s the latest Beta Version of the Widget (v 2.74). https://sapmats-us.sap-ag.de/download/download.cgi?id=WZPVIYZF9ZXZ9WN2M6J0LCHV87NCP9OIVU0LDRHDWLD441GGS2 I rewrote a lot of things in it and hopefully this will address the character sets issue as well. Cheers,Prakash like (0) Former Member November 28, 2007 at 11:19 am Hi Prakash, I was wondering if you can point me in the direction of creating a textArea( I think ) for an input parameter/filter on your widget. I understand the Web API commands and creating the SOAPEnvelope just cannot figure out the xml to get the input box to show up in the header or footer. like (0) Former Member Post authorDecember 2, 2007 at 7:57 pm See this link:http://widgets.yahoo.com/static/downloads/WidgetsReference_4.5.zip It has examples. Cheers,Prakash like (0) Former Member December 17, 2008 at 8:23 am Hello !It is posible to get the widget working connecting it to R3 through saprouter ?? like (0) Former Member Post authorDecember 18, 2008 at 5:43 pm Hey Felipe, I’m not sure if there’s a direct way to get this to work. What you could do is you could create a .NET based web service that can call sap router through kernel calls and this web service can be called from the widget. It would involve some custom development. Prakash like (0) Leave a Reply Cancel replyYou must be logged in to post a comment.
