When I first read Craig’s blog PHP and SAP, together at last?!…I knew that great thing would happens to me that year (2006).

First, I became an SDN Blogger and published my first blog Tasting the mix of PHP and SAP.

Second, I have develop a lot of “stantard” SAP transactions, including:

  • SE11
  • SE16
  • SM30
  • SE10
  • SBWP
  • SE38
  • ST22

As you may see…My main goal is to develop an SAP PHP based Framework, name it SAPHP. Of course, a lot of work must be done an a lot of things must be improved…For example:

  • SE11 –> Be able to create Tables, Domains, Data Elements.
  • SE10 –> Be able to create new Transport Orders.
  • SE38 –> Be able to create programs and save them on SAP.
  • ST22 –> Be able to read the Short Dump information.

Also, new transactions must be developed.

This new project is going to be started on January 1st, 2007. And I hope to receive a lot of feedback and a lot of help from the community when the alpha version comes out.

You can get my mail from my Business Card if you want to contact me.

I just want to say Thanx! to a lot of people who has helped in this “my first” year on SDN. Without these people, my PHP-SAP knowledge would never get this far.

P.S: Now we have a WIKI! Thanks to Craig for all the hard work. Please send your Project Name Suggestions.

We also got a SAP PHP Framework, so don’t be shy and post your comments -;)

You have a wiki here and it has a whole area on Scripting Languages – use – no need to trade a million mails! Enough activity and maybe you get a forum as well 🙂

Nice work Alvaro. If you like there is a simple AL11 I developed which you can fine tune and add it to your collection.

Infact Craig Cmehil, Anton Wenzelhuemer, John Astill, Eduard Koucky, Gregor Wolf and you are the real PHP-SAP experts here. I still remember spending more than two weeks to write my first PHP application… 🙁

But still I love to do some RFC and web related PHP works. Its kind of joy.

Those thanks were meant for all the SDN family, but I put some names, because I feel that you and them are the most influential persons on my PHP-SAP trip -:P

            Greetings,

            Blag.

Ok…I wanted to create the Wiki entry…But first needed some Project homepage…So I choose Google Projects…When I tried to add it…Google told me that “SAPHP” was an existing project on SourceForge…I looked for it, but could find it…So I need to wait for some reply and the create the Wiki Entry…Or maybe, change the name of the project and start again…

        Greetings,

        Blag.

Thanks for create the WIKI for me -:P As I said before, I was looking first for a place to keep the code…But as always, you take actions before me…Thanks for that too…I’m kinda new to WIKI’s.

As soon as I get my “code” vault, I’m going to update the WIKI.

Steak was mine. It was an off the wall approach to get people thinking beyond the TLA. Maybe I have been working for media companies too long but I belong the the De Bono school of thought that not all sugestions should be sensible.

Disclaimer – I no longer work at a media company!

    Hi Blag,

what do you think about the idea to have a basic library that does F4 Help and dictionary integration for Field labeles in forms and tables? Perhaps it could extend the PEAR HTML_Table Package to have direct data binding from the RFC Tables to the frontend.

    Just my 50 cents.

    Regards
    Gregor

That’s a great idea Gregor! I haven’t much experience using PEAR…And this could be a chance to make something nice…I was thinking on the same thing, trying to figure out how to emulate that functionality…If can do it with PEAR, then the project is going to be a lot better -;)

      Greetings,

      Blag.
