In this blog, I will be describing and showing the Visual composer new features available in SAP Netweaver 2004s SPS 10.
The following are the new & changed feature in Visual composer as part of SAP NetWeaver 2004s support pack 10.
Feature1: Keep focused row in the table view during data refresh
A new checkbox has been added to the Configure Element task panel for table views. When checked, a row selected in the table at runtime maintains its focus, even when the table is refreshed with new data. Previously, the focus moved to the first row when the table was refreshed.
In the below example, you can see that the 3rd row in the table has been selected and focused.
In the picture below, you can notice that the 3rd row selected in the table at runtime maintains its focus, even when the table is refreshed with new data for the input carrier-id ‘UA’.
Prior to support pack 10, the focus will move to the first row when the table gets refreshed.
Feature2: Columns (fields) of tables could be set to be Hidden, Disabled and Mandatory
The second feature is the columns (fields) of tables could be set to be Hidden, Disabled and Mandatory according to checkboxes in the General tab of the Control Properties dialog box.
Please check the Hidden, Disabled and Mandatory Checkbox Behavior for more information.
Feature3: Hide advanced configuration options (BI systems only) in ValueHelp Wizard
The third enhanced feature in the Visual composer BI area is to display the advanced configuration functionality in the ValueHelp Wizard.
Now the developer has the flexibility of uncheck or check the ‘Hide advanced configuration options’. If the above option is unchecked, the default value help layout will be populated automatically by the system and hence the ‘Specify Data service Runtime Parameters’ step in the wizard will not appear.
If the ‘Hide advanced configuration options’ is not checked, then ‘Specify Data Service Runtime Parameters’ step appears and the designer has the option to choose the fields that has to appear in the value help
Stay tuned for more VC features in the upcoming support packs!!!
