This week Craig Cmehil the Great or is it the great Craig Cmehil has crossed the magic 20K mark. Please join me in celebrating the huge difference that his tireless work, passion and dedication here makes.   Here a screen shot from yesterday morning: image Now there are 5 that have about three times as many points than I have 🙂   He once said to me: “Man, my work is ruining my SDN Points standing, because I don’t have time anymore to answer stuff in the development forums like scripting or BSP. I used to number one there.”    Craig your points standing my suffer, but your standing in the community only grew.   Check this out: image This picture was taken by Luis Felipe Lanz during the TechEd Demo Jam and it shows you in your element warming up the crowd. It was the reason that they choose to have you do the whole Jam in Bangalore.   I am just glad that no executive from CBS was in the audience, they may have hired you on the spot to replace Bob Barker who is stepping down from the game show The Price is Right.   I said it before and I write it here again. The best thing I did last year was hiring you. It is great to have you on the team.   I wasn’t able to go to TechEd India, but I knew it in good hands with you, and people told me that you rocked.   I am very happy that you are part of the team, but also happy to call you a friend and to have the chance to share the joys and problems of being a father of lovely little babies.   Keep up your excellent work and I hope you can stay away and only read this once you are back from your well deserved vacation. Although I know you will not 🙂

    will join in saying Bravo!
And although you should be vacationing after our TechEd tours, I’m sure you are peeking and will be seeing the good wishes from your community and enjoying the recognition.
Hopefully our team can be helpmates to many others’ accomplishments here and continue to support further stellar crossings and milestones.
You’ve upped the ante for us.

I was Craig’s sidekick at DemoJam Bangalore and can testify (along with 3800 people in the audience) what a great job he did.  I think we’ll see more of Craig at DemoJams in 2007 (hope everyone is already preparing for Las Vegas, Munich, and Bangalore next year).  I also have the complete video downloaded onto my laptop, and watched some of it on the plane home last week.

I also got to see Craig in action all last week as we visited several of our most active Systems Integrators last week in Bangalore.  He warmed-up the crowds there, too, to give us a personal touch to the presentations and discussions, and to answer the hard questions on some of the deep-dive topics.  And after long days in meetings he found the time to write blogs about whole experience.  Tireless is a good word to describe him.  And always with the good of the community on his mind.

Congratulations Craig for hitting the 20k mark.

    Mark Y.

Well done Craig – it takes genuine commitment to build these communities. Reaching this milestone is a massive achievement that I (may) one day emulate.
