It was a fine morning with little drizzling, when I started from my home to the SDN Day Venue ( SAP Labs, Bangalore ) and it took almost an hour and half to reach the place due to the heavy traffic jam. The session started by 30 minutes late than the mentioned time in the agenda (9.00 AM)

Approximately 50 delegates attended the SDN Day session @ Bangalore (expected around 100 delegates). The session started with the welcome speech from Craig Cmehil (SDN community Evangelist) followed by the general session by Mark Yolton, VP of SDN/BPX.

SDN contributors also got a chance to network with each other and to discuss about their topic of interest with others. Craig arranged for a round table conversation with different topics of people interest (ABAP, Upgrade, System Administration, VC/PI, and BI & BPX).

After noon (1.00 pm to 5.00 pm) the SDN contributors attended the various breakouts & BOAF sessions. I have attended the following sessions:

‘The role of SAP Master Data Management in Composite Applications’ ‘Creating Useful SAP Administration Tools using Yahoo! Widgets’ ‘Composite Applications & Guided Procedure Overview’

The session end with the panel discussion on “Innovation & Technology” followed by an evening SDN Networking reception with Snacks & Beers :))

Finally I made the SDN Day @ Bangalore 2006. Thanks for the SDN community team for given me the opportunity to attend the SDN Day @ Bangalore 2006.

You can find the pictures I have taken in the SDN Day @ Bangalore 2006 in flickr

Few suggestions for the next SDN Day @ Bangalore 2007 (if it happens)…

Need to have “Meet the Experts” session (People like Thomas Jung, Ginger Gatling etc.) and one-on-one with experts from different technology area.

Sneak preview on some of the feature products from SAP(Unreleased for GA).

Great to meet you BV.  Nice recap.  Appreciate your suggestions for next time.  Hope to see LOTS of people next year if/when we do it again.
