Call for Action! – Customer Polling in full swing

Dear SDN members and SAP NetWeaver Exchange Infrastructure Gurus,

SAP NetWeaver Product Definition and Product Management are currently doing customer polling for NetWeaver usage type Process Integration (XI). The purpose of this polling is to do a pulse check of how our customers are using our Process Integration solution. Consolidated customer feedback will be analyzed by our Product Definition, Development and Product Management teams and will ultimately shape our product investment and development for the medium to long term. I like to emphasize that we will not use the information for any kind of marketing or other external purposes. If you like to participate, please send an email to Swen Conrad. I will then email you the questionnaire and arrange for a time to meet and discuss the results if you like. – With more participating customers, our results will be more representative of our software install base.       I was waiting for somebody to pick up on that 😉 Let me qualify the statement and explain the two official channels for development requests (and you may already know this since you have been around the block a few times):

      SAP directly:
      SAP is always taking development requests from its customers. Please check out this website on service marketplace: Any requests created here are official and are being tracked in the system.

      SAP User Groups:
      DSAG and ASUG have official channels and processes to feed development requests into SAP. Here is a link for the ASUG influence process from their website:

      The emphasis of this customer polling is on a “customer inventory”. It will help us answer what topics are relevant for information roll-out, for example in the form of How-to-Guides on SDN or for TechEd sessions. However, as part of this customer questionnaire, we are also asking for the top three customer product needs. And the consolidated polling results will be analyzed by our Product Definition team and will be presented to our development organization for Process Integration. Therefore, every response will truly impact the future product direction.

      Hope that explains this statement and will create more momentum for this initiative.
