During custom development projects I’m quite often faced with the following problem:
I have a request, that sounds common so I assume there might already be a solution in the system to cover it. But the problem is, that I don’t find anywhere an overview of all engines, frameworks, reusable components, etc. in the NetWeaver core system, to pick a candidate from.

As I was not able to find a list of all interesting BC stuff I started my own one. And now, as the new WIKI functionality is released, I think it might be a good idea to share my list with others and maybe get some new input back.

You can find my first collection of the engines I know here. Where I already had some material and the time, I added some descriptions. All others I know are just listed.

My goal is to get an overview of all interesting stuff, that could generically be used in developments to make the developers’ life easier (not on the Function Module Level, but more on the level of frameworks and engines)

So feel free to add your stuff to the WIKI.  Let’s create a collection of frameworks and engines.

    Hi,

Thanks for the initiative. The link to System Documentation points to an internal SAP address. So it won’t be available to the rest of us out here. Is there any other resource page you would like to link instead???

      Hi,

the link points to a documentation, that is available at the SAP Service Marketplace. So If you have a user there you should be able to open it. I don’t know any other address where to get it, sorry. But the topics you find in the PDF document are mainly available on the online help also.

      Regards,

      Sascha

        Hi,

My understanding is that the addresses with *.sap.corp cant be accessed even from service marketplace. I have tried it a couple of times but couldn’t go further. These are however accessible once you have logged in to the SAP intranet. Please correct me if I am wrong.

        Regards

Arghhhh, OK, now I got it. I corrected the domain (even if the document ID remains as it is 😉
On the alert section of the Service Marketplace (I also added that link), you can access the System Documentation also.
Can you try again from the outside (sometimes it’s hard having all authorizations 😉

          Regards

      Hello Sascha,

      the FDT look quite interessing.

Do have some more information on this engine (e. g. documentation links; availability; … )?

      Thanks & Regards,

      Guido
