New feature in URL iView: Adding Language-Specific URLs
You can define more than one source URL for any URL iView. Apart from the default URL, which is not language-specific, you can define any number of additional URLs; each one corresponding to a different language.
If a portal user’s language matches a language defined in the iView, then the corresponding language-specific URL will be executed at runtime. The default URL functions as the fallback URL if no language-specific URL matches the user’s language.
Defining multiple URLs per iView is useful for sites that support multiple languages by means of language-specific URLs; for example, you can define URLs that are language variants of the default www.google.com URL of Google, such as www.google.de and www.google.jp. In other cases, you can define in the same iView, variant URLs which reference different Web sites.
Is it possible to set multiple versions of single url iveiw based on the user Authorizations.
user1... URL1
user2... URL2
It should be available at the same place but based on the authorizations URL1 or URL2 should be populated .. Right now we are planning to write par file for this requirement..
Thanks in advance
Best regards, Detlev
I am not completely sure what you mean by "Dynamic iView Properties" can you please elaborate some more.
We are in discussions whether to implement the URL iView to support multi URL's dependent on various properties, for example language (already exits), User (suggested), browser type….
Tell me what you think.
Thanks and Regards,
Erez
as SAP employee, you probably have access to the TechEd DVDs?! Check out my presentation Dynamic iView Properties (Amsterdam) or search for "proy iView Detlev" on the SDN forum.
Hope it helps
Detlev
I have found some things in the forum, but I just could not find the place to download the presentation you gave in TechEd.
Do you have any link to there? Can you send it to me offline (erez.nissim@sap.com)?
Thanks and Regards,
Erez
Hope it helps

Is there any switch to enable this feature, or another version of URL iview PAR file should be used.
The help from (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/44/aabd5c7e8e0a47e10000000a1553f7/frameset.htm) Adding Language-Specific URLs describes such features that are not available in our portal.
Do you have any idea why?
Many thanks for your kind help.
Best Regards
Richard Palotai
You are correct the feature was only entered to
SP11 in NW04S.
If its important to you i can supply you with the par files, so you can deploy them and use the feature on SP9.
Thanks and Regards,
Erez
That would be wonderful. Could you pls. send it to my email address Palotai.Richard@fmc.hu.
Do you think that implementing Note 961793(Adding Language-Specific URLs) also can solve this problem?
Many thanks for your kind help
I have sent you by mail a zip file containing 3 par files, please deploy them.
These par files were made in our development environment so they will not include translations yet... that means that you will only be able to see the strings in English.
If that’s a problem tell me and I will send you the original par files of SP11, which includes all the translations files (they are a little older from what I sent you).
Regarding the note it will not help since it just explains the feature, and not how to install it.
Thanks and Regards,
Erez
Could you attach the files to a SAPmats upload so others can share them?
Thanks
The par files can be downloaded from the link below:
https://sapmats-de.sap-ag.de/download/download.cgi?id=32H05YX30U0967NBDOLZV9DH9DL2U3SYBUIQJME6K5XOSCKI6L
Please be aware that these par files are for NW04S SP11, so make sure you save the original par files before deploying the new ones.
Also remember that there are no translation files in the par files, so the only available language of the strings in English.
Regards,
Erez
The download does not work? I think it is expired. Is it possible for you to fix it?
Thanks
Renaud
I have reupload the files, please download them from here:

I have the same problem. Both of my customers are on SP10 and urgently need to translate an URL iView into two languages.
Would you mind, emailing me the par file?? That would be a great help!!
