image Time is approaching and just around the corner Amsterdam is calling out to us and especially the SDN Day and the evening event. For Amsterdam we have something very special in store thanks to our very own Dan for the tip! We are having the special evening event (remember you have to be registered for the SDN Day!) and it will be Boom Chicago. “Boom Chicago is a comedy institution based in Amsterdam. For over thirteen years, we’ve mixed sharp writing, quick thinking and high production values to create fast, clever and funny shows. Boom Chicago also tours the world, performing at theaters, festivals and corporate events around the globe. Most people see our trademark improvisation in Amsterdam at our 300-seat Leidseplein Theater, where we perform almost every night. The audience is seated at long tables and can participate in the show by giving suggestions. Many of our guests come early to a tasty dinner as well. Our menu changes with the seasons but our drinks are always cold and our cocktails first-class.” Evening Schedule

  • 6:45 pm (or 7pm) – Leave the convention center
  • 7:15 pm – Arrival at Boom Chicago
  • 7:45 pm – Dinner Served
  • 8:45 pm – Show (Part I)
  • 9:30 pm – Intermission and Desert
  • 10:00 pm – Show (Part II)
  • 10:45 pm – Close

The show we’ve chosen is “Me, MySpace and iPod premiere a BIG success, “Our brand new comedy show Me, MySpace and iPod premiered last night for a completely filled theater of fans, VIP’s and press. Opening cast Matt Jones, Brian Jack, Lauren Flans, Hilary Bauman, Dan Oster and Michael Diederich captivated the crowd from the beginning to the very end turning this evening and show into a grand premiere unlike any other.” So don’t miss it, be sure to register for the SDN Day ASAP as spaces are limited! Oh and for you night owls! Boom Chicago – stays open until 1am, and there are lots of options in the area if anyone wants to explore other venues.

Beware of the “chocolate cake” dessert if you know what I mean. You guys have a great Teched in beautiful Amsterdam.

… it’s one evening too late, but, Craig, nevertheless I will definitely accept it as a late birthday present 🙂
    Sounds simply great!
I’m really keen on the whole event and if you know that this year it will be somewhat my personal fare-well show from the “inner SAP circle”, you’ll understand that the whole week – even without such great late-night events – will be a very special time for me. Thanks that you put some specials on top of it 🙂
    Best regards, Detlev
