The new tool that will be available is called the Web Page Composer.  Deborah Adams stressed that it is not going to replace Visual Composer or the Development Studio.  The composer will allow us to have the same flexibility to construct pages that will be more user friendly.  SDN has been using this for a while now and SAP has decided to  let the customers have the same tool.    The tool will be included in SP 20 for NW 2004 and should be available Q1 of 2007

  1. Hi,

can you give us more information upfront about the features of this tool?

Will it be for page construction like the PCD editor or for content build like a web content management system?

    Thx in advance,
    Michael

Looks like it is leaning towards web content management via KM.  Accourding to what I seen at Tech Ed, it combines the all of the fuctionality of EP and KM with a WYSIWYG editor with drag and drop support.  For non-programers and power users this will make it a lot easier for them to put content into the portal.  From the demos, it looked exactly like SDN.
