Whenever you think of mobile applications, most people envision applications running on a hand held device or maybe a portable computer. But what was probably the first mobile device and still the most prolific? Yep, you got it! It is the cell phone.

Even before the days of computers and the internet, the phone was a major leap in making the world a smaller place to live. Even now, in some of the most remote places on the planet, people have phone service of some kind. Why not develop application that allow people to interact with systems over the phone.

At TechEd 2006 come check out session UPE105 Developing Voice Applications with the SAP NetWeaver Voice.

Learn how to develop and deploy voice applications with the SAP NetWeaver Visual Composer and the SAP NetWeaver Application Server for Java. Via the new SAP NetWeaver Voice framework, learn how to develop voice-based access for every SAP backend application. In this lecture, you will get an overview on voice technology and how to leverage voice applications to execute business functionality. You will learn how you can reduce costs and achieve return on investment by voice-enabling employee self-service access for your end users.

This session will show you to use the pre-configured SAP templates to leverage voice-based access to your backend systems. This session provides detailed walk through configuring a voice application with the SAP NetWeaver Visual Composer. Also, find out which SAP NetWeaver usage types need to be installed to use the SAP NetWeaver Voice framework.
