SAP Discovery System Workshop at SDN Day vs. TechEd

So what is the difference between the 6 hour SAP Discovery System workshop at the SDN Day and the 4 hour hands-on session at TechEd?  The workshop being offered at the SDN Day contains 3 full hands-on exercises covering:

  • Using SAP NetWeaver Visual Composer to create an iView
  • Using SAP NetWeaver Master Data Management to consolidate master data
  • Using SAP Interactive Forms by Adobe with enterprise services
  • The workshop offered at TechEd is a consolidated version of this and will probably only have 2 hands-on exercises due to time contraints.  In either case, the workshops will be lead by some of the very team members (Itai Sadan, Rick Swan, and Gilles Atlan) from SAP who actually created the SAP Discovery System, and also created the lab exercises being used in these workshops.  They’ll be available to answer your questions about the SAP Discovery System and how your organization can take those first steps to implementing an enterprise SOA environment.  If you’re going to attend the SDN Day (and I hope you are), I think you’ll find the 6 hour workshop time well spent.  It will also mean you won’t have to choose between the workshop at TechEd and something else, since you would have already had the complete workshop experience.  If, on the other hand, you already have your schedule booked for the SDN Day, then I would encourage you to attend one of the 4 hour workshop sessions at TechEd at get some hands-on experience there.  In addition, we will provide the complete set of lab exercise guides so you have them for future use and reference.  Whichever one you choose, I’m sure you’ll have a great experience and come away more informed about SAP’s enterprise SOA solutions.  Look forward to seeing you in Las Vegas!

      Hi SDNers,
I got asked about the discovery system during the SDN Day. It will be the same as in Las Vegas. 6 hours of hands on experience delivered by the people that have created the system. We are having 100 seats available. There will be no standing in line, you are almost guarantied a seat. More info about the discovery system you can find here: SAP Discovery System for enterprise SOA – Part 1
      See you there, Mark.
