ABAP King is Across the 20K Mark

King of ABAP

When last we looked at Thomas Jung, he was the only SDNer to have reached the 20K point milestone.

Today, I am pleased to announce, he is joined in that winner circle by Rich Heilman who amazingly garnered most of his contribution points answering forum questions.

Rich also has supplied content to theABAP homepage as well as the WebDynpro homepage.  Some of you may be familiar with his WDA Tutorial I – Getting Started with Web Dynpro for ABAP and WDA Tutorial II – Using Select Options in a WDA Application , which are as well-read as the SAP supplied tutorials.

I met Rich at TechEd ’05 in Boston and was very taken with his modesty.  For someone who seemed so quiet, he is amazingly “talkative” when speaking ABAP to the members of that active forum on SDN.

I’m hoping to repeat the pleasure of meeting up with Rich during SDN Day at SAP TechEd ’06 in Las Vegas.

  • Rich:

Congratulations on this monumental accomplishment.  It’s especially significant knowing that the bulk of those 20,000 points were earned the hard way: via discussion forum answers… and very complete and comprehensive ones at that.

Thank you for your dedication to the SDN community – you’re one of the people who make it so vibrant and valuable.

I hope to meet you at TechEd.

  • Hi Rich,

I am at awe that you managed to have 20K points mainly from the forums.

Wow it’s SDNers like you that make me get up in the morning with ease and make all this effort worth it.

    Thank you, Mark.

  • Way to go Rich!  Of course, none of us doubted you’d see 20K.  It was a matter of “when” not “if”.  (FYI: I never knew how nearby you were to me until the SDN Globe…  the small world of SAP is sometimes smaller than we think.)

    Best Regards,
    James Gaddis

    • I’m sure that Eddy will be delighted with these words, as well as the rest of the collaboration team.
Yes, it is excellent to look at the Forum Flags and see the folks online, or go to Eddy’s SDN World to see yourself and other participants “on the map”.
And near or far, it is really only a few clicks away to communicate with peers and like-minded professionals.
  • Today is my first day in SDN and today itself I get to see the Gurus..

Congs to all the top scorers..

    • Welcome to the community, Charles.
You know, amazingly, some of our top contributors began their activity on SDN not so very long ago!
Let’s hope you can soon look back and see how far you’ve come in a short time.
