What’s SAP NetWeaver Life Cycle Mangament?

SAP NetWeaver components are also being positioned as collection of various IT Practices and IT Scenarios. Lifecycle Mangement(LM) component provides unified lifecycle management capability to SAP NetWeaver. Unified Lifecycle Management is one of the identified IT Practices within SAP NetWeaver.   Each IT Pracitices consists of various IT Scenarios and further each IT Scenario is composed of various IT Scenario variants. IT Scenario variants are collection of processes.  The Unified Lifecycle Management IT Practice consists of the following two IT Scenarios:       1. SAP NetWeaver Operations     2. Software Lifecycle Managent  The SAP NetWeaver Operations scenario as the name suggests covers the applications and methodology required in the secure operation of entire SAP NetWeaver landscape with low cost. SAP NetWeaver Operations consists of following scenario variants:    1. Monitoring SAP NetWeaver includes the SAP NetWeaver Administrator tool for the central monitoring of the entire system landscape.   2. Administering SAP NetWeaver focuses on daily administrative tasks. It consists of the follwing tools:       (1) The SAP NetWeaver Administrator, for daily administration tasks       (2) The central scheduling functions of SAP NetWeaver, for easy automation of landscape-wide processes.  3. Data Archiving covers efficient data management for an enterprise for optimal performance and adhering to legal requirements.  4. Adaptive Computing provides a flexible solution for the overall utilization of the system landscape, which adaptively manages the current resource requirements of the business process.  The Software Life-Cycle Management (SLM) scenario consists of the following scenario variants:   1. Implementation Support scenario variant offers the following capabilities:              (1) process- and tool-oriented approach for implementing and enhancing your system landscape.            (2) the installation of new software systems.           (3) migration of existing SAP systems.            (4) infrastructure for creating and propagating software changes.  2. Software Maintenance scenario variants inclues:            (1) import of support packages,            (2) implementing bug fixes           (3) installing upgrades.
