Callisto and Crystal Reports for Eclipse

The Eclipse Foundation is set to have their first simultaneous release of 10 major projects.

The goal of the simultaneous release is to “support the  needs of the ecosystem members who integrate Eclipse frameworks into their own  software and products”

Business Objects will be standardizing on the Callisto launch with their own Crystal Reports for Eclipse plug-in.  The Crystal Reports plugin will allow Eclipse Developers to have the ability to create and integrate Crystal Reports into their applications without having to leave the Eclipse IDE.  This feature has been built into Visual Studio for many years and now Eclipse users will share in the benefits of an integrated Crystal Report creation tool.

Once the Callisto is officially launched on June 30th, the Eclipse Team at Business Objects will feverishlybegin their final set of QA test before it is release to the Market some time this summer.

Stay tuned for more on Crystal Reports for Eclipse.
