All of our SDN team, and probably many of our community members, will remember with amusement and admiration, Craig Cmehil’s announcement of Doing our part: SDN the next generation!, of particular note, the T-shirt, (5K SDN Member).  Mark has always encouraged SDNers to proudly display theirs.  I even recall some Flickr picture of Mark's depicting him wearing his shirt in Hawaii on his honeymoon.

And it seems that “grannimari” (my nom de plume or alias) has had the privilege (or rather, the pleasure) in the past of making a number of wedding and  birth announcements for the SDN team.  It was therefore no surprise that I was invited to share the following contributor news with the community.

Sravya Talanki…er…..Sravya Karamshetty writes:

“It has been a real pleasure working with the SDN community for quite some time! I am ….happy to announce that I am married to Srikanth Karamshetty ….we got married on May 19th in dead hot summer, sweating all through out the day at Chirala, Andhra Pradesh…”

Being an SDNer, as Mark Finnern demonstrated in his baby pics with SDN T-shirt, does sometimes take one beyond the call of normal duty and even insinuates itself into very personal moments.

Such, it seems, was Srvya’s experience, after her own marriage event:

“The funniest part being someone calling up during my honeymoon and asking “Sravya. I have seen your ID on SDN. We are stuck and need your help! Can you help?”…”

I don’t doubt the sincerity expressed here but have some concern for the timing of the request.

Sravya continues:

“I need to thank the SDN community for giving me global visibility. The happiest part is me receiving at least one appreciation mail every day from the SDN community, which motivates you to work smart!...Lastly, need to thank my boss Kartik for inspiring me with his endless energy, drive & enthusiasm.”
So, community, from now on Sravya should be called as Sravya Karamshetty & not Sravya Talanki.  Take note, beware, and warm congratulations.

Oh, and in case you were wondering the bride wore a more traditional garment than her SDN T-shirt .
