Congratulations to Wipro for being the first company ever to get collectively more than 100.000 points on SDN. How nice to cross that line in between the two Sapphires. If you bump into one of them in Paris, shake their hands and thank them because SDN wouldn't be the same without their contributions. For example the median time to first reply in our forums wouldn't be under 30 minutes  without them. I am a bit bummed that I can't be at Sapphire, but there is always SAP TechEd in the fall.

Just to put this accomplishment in perspective. To get 100K in the forums you have to get ten-thousand of your answers marked as "Solved my Problem". The best SDNers average 2 points per post, so you need fifty-thousand forum posts to hit the 100K. In Blogs let's say on average you get 50 points for a post, that means a company would need two-thousand posts to cross the 100K line.

Wipro once even tackled a whole topic: Creating a Comprehensive Collaborative Platform with SAP NetWeaver and created a wealth of content around it: Five-part article series,     related SDN TV demos,     topic-based demos: SAP NetWeaver XI,    Portal, JDI, and More and an ongoing blog series: iyengar.karthik/blog

A special thank goes out to the author of The Architect's World blog series Kartik    Iyengar. He is the first one to fully understand the power of the reputation that you can achieve via SDN. Realizing that he rallied his  team and he also stepped up when there were questions regarding the quality of the contributions.

He once told me that it helps Wipro tremendously. We go to a prospect and start to introduce Wipro and they say: "Come on, we know you, you do all these excellent things on SDN." It is a great ice breaker / door opener.

Congratulations and thank you to every one of Wipro's SDN contributors. You did a tremendous job. That you have almost twice the amount of points as your closest competitor blows my mind.

P.S. We will enable a better view on the Top Companies on  SDN soon. It will look similar to the Top Contributor list with drill down into a company, into development areas and a 30 day view.
