To better consolidate the information about SAP NetWeaver MDM, we have restructured the MDM appearance on SDN following a twofold strategy.
The function and feature-based presentation of SAP NetWeaver MDM has been reorganized to provide a clear picture of relevant and up-to-date topics. With immediate effect, SAP NetWeaver MDM is presented in the following structure:
- SAP NetWeaver MDM homepage featuring spotlight topics, a Knowledge Center, and a related links section
- Gettting started page with introductory information about SAP NetWeaver MDM
- Individual Key Topics pages, all featuring a Getting Started and a More on section.
The following graphic displays a mock-up of the new MDM homepage.
Current key topics include:
- Data Consolidation
- Data Load and Distribution
- Data Maintenance
- MDM Integration and Connectivity
- MDM Business Scenarios
SDN will also include a process-oriented view of SAP NetWeaver MDM through the IT Practice and IT Scenario approach, where SAP NetWeaver MDM is embedded in the IT Practice Data Unification featuring master-data consolidation, master-data harmonization, and central master-data management.
I’d like to thank everyone involved in restructuring the SAP NetWeaver MDM pages. Above all, credit goes to MDM Content Strategist Kathleen Clemens, who is the brains behind it all, and to Stefanie Schmitt from the MDM product management team for putting the pieces together. You really did a great job!
I’d also like to thank Ingvild Bayer, who is currently engaged in setting up the IT scenario pages.
I hope you will benefit from the new layout and presentation, which in my opinion is much more informative.
