Configuration Of a Central Integration Server.

Description:

Configuration of Central Integration Server is important for making Integration Server to work.

Once the SAP-XI is installed to make system is ready to work we need to check all these settings, done during the post installation.

If anything is missed out, we can set again so that the integration server supports the adapters.

Moreover this configuration of integration server is very important for Proxies. Queues Registration is very important for processing of messages.

Make sure that integration server is registered in System Landscape Directory prior to configuring the integration server.
For this purpose check here.

1.System Landscape—> Technical System.

2.Further more, ensure that you created the following fixed RFC Destinations.

a. AI_DIRECTORY_JCOSERVER type T ( SM59)

b. AI_RUNTIME_JCOSERVER type T ( SM59 )

c. INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI type H ( SM59 )

Note: Always use user : XIISUSER.

1.Configuring the Role of the Integration Server

The integration server is configured as a central integration engine and is not able to execute application logic.

For this purpose check all parameter default values .

a.Transaction SXMB_ADM  > Configuration>Integration Engine Configuration –> Specific Configuration.

4.Checking the connection Between SLD and Intergration Server

    Hi Prasad,

Thanks a lot. Earlier I have problem with configuration of a Central Integration Server. Now I am clear, how to check the Integration Server configuration in different ways.

    hi Prasad,

don’t you think the steps you’ve shown
    are from standard inst/config guide?

so if someone will have to use it then
it means that he didn’t do the STANDARD
    inst/config steps at all…

so in conclusion your weblog should
tell – “hey if you don’t have these you
didn’t finish the configuration! – do it once more
    but this time do everyting!”

    what do you think?

    Regards,
    michal

      BTW

don’t get me wrong I’m not trying to discourage
you from writing weblogs but it’s just
that I wish no one will ever have to use it
as their install/config step will be done
      correctly ๐Ÿ™‚

      Regards,

      Hi
1.while I was doing Proxy scenario (client proxy) I noticed there was problem in RFC destination  INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI type H . The problem is password was changed so it was giving problem.
As you told once it has been done no need to check it. In this above case how can you rectify this.

2.One day i was unable to open my sld problem lies in LCRSAPRFC and SAPSLDAPI . I was able to rectify this problem by correcting them.

Here my Intergration Server has been configured well by our basis people. Why these problems came.

My weblog intension is if there is any problem regarding integraton server check these steps.

There are two comments they might not have seen that guide what you said , i am happy atlease it was useful for them..

      Thanks
      N.Prasad Babu

        Hi,

        1. if someone changes the pass for a service user:
        XIISUSER (for INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI)
this means he/she didn’t know about
note 721548 – Changing the passwords of the XI service users – part of config right?

        2. one more thing you should mention that your proposals are only for the DEV XI – LOGGING_SYNC = 1 I also forgot do to it in one of my weblogs
        but added it later on
loggin_sync set to 1 and tracing to 3 on the PRD XI can fill
the data base very quickly ๐Ÿ™‚

these are just friendly tips Prasad ๐Ÿ™‚
        I hope you didn’t feel offended…

        Regards,
        michal
