It turns out that John decided that things were a bit too easy and it was time to turn up the heat and make this a worthy challenge of your PHP / SAP Skills.
So if you read thru the discussion thread you’ll see that the contest has been laid out, the time frame has been set and the prizes have been offerred. So it is up to you to now take on the challenge!
Here is the task at hand!
Target:
Create a user interface, something comparable to the transaction SU01 inside of the typical R/3 environment using PHP as a FrontEnd and SAPRFC as the back end connector to your SAP system.
Goal:
Provide a nice rich user interface showing the various capabilities of both PHP as well as SAPRFC.
Judging:
Judging will be done on how much of the functionalities you have included as well as the ease of connecting the finished PHP application to a test server. Further judging will include display, presentation and design.

Finished PHP applications should be put into a ZIP file and submitted via the “submit content” link in the top right corner of the SDN website, please ensure that your “note” to the editors states “PHP Contest, attention Craig Cmehil”. Submittals will not be published until after the completetion of the judging.
