With regard to the MDM Validations of Sept. 16, 2005 about the validation feature provided with SAP NetWeaver MDM 5.5 SP02 by Klaus David, I'd like to add that an MDM Webinar sheds even more light on the validation topic. It consists of a Webex expert session recorded by Klaus David.
The Webinar explains in the context of SAP MDM 5.5 what validations are and how they are used.
Figure: Validations is a feature of the MDM Data Manager Client. They can be called in record mode to check a record for consistency (for example, to ensure that a syndication to a specified client system is successful).
To view this session, the free Webex Player must be installed. Then, download the session and save the file to your local PC from where you can play the file. When saving the file, add the extension.wrf to the file name. (Tip: You might have to open the Webex player first and start the downloaded session from there).
