Prizes for Top Contributors

We are feverishly working on creating an excellent SAP TechEd this year again. One of the unfortunate consequences are, that I am not getting to blog as often as I like. But I can’t let you wait any longer for the main prizes for all your work here on SDN. The prizes for the Top SDN Development Contributors I announced already in my Top SDN Development Contributors.

Without any further ado. The Top  20 SDN Contributors of this year (select the tab: Points since last contest) will get a price. We made it pretty straight forward:

  • First place: $1000 Gift Certificate to Disneyland/world

  • Second place: Tapeless Digital Video Camera

  • 3rd – 10th  place: Sony PSP

  • 11th – 15th place: iPod Mini

  • 16th – 20th  place: iPod Shuffle

This time we don’t differentiate between SAP and non SAP, but of course SDN Team members don’t get any prizes. (We hired Craig Cmehil, so that we don’t have to pay him a big one 🙂

To be one of the Top 20 SDN Contributors of this year you really have to contribute a lot of high quality content to SDN and spent many hours developing that content. Usually on the side of your main job and we are all thankful for this contribution and these prizes will be a small token of our appreciation.

Update: This may have been misleading. You can still get into the top 20 of SDN or in the top three of the Top SDN Development Contributors. Cut off day for this year’s SDN Contest is again a week before the SAP TechEd in Vienna: Friday the 16th of September . This time “High Noon” 12 o’clock pacific standard time we will stop the counting. I don’t want to keep an eye on the statistics until midnight on a Grande Finale 🙂 🙂

  • Thank you Mark. The prizes are excellent. I am excited. This will definitely encourage more people to contribute and will generate excellent content for SDN.

  • Hi Mark,

I’m not (yet) a blogger on SDN nor an hyperactive forum poster. And also these huge prizes will not change this…

…BUT there are two other things on SDN which may change my mind:
    1. my fascination about SDN as an amazing knowledge base and how (mostly brilliant) people use and enlarge this platform
    2. these überCOOL SDN-Shirts

    P.S.: Thinking of #2 I guess I’ll complete the form to become a blogger…

  • Mark
It has been a while since i have contributed (busy with project work), but now you have ignited the fire again 🙂 Will be hearing a lot more from me.

  • Hi,

There seems to be some serious problem with webdynpro developement area.. All forum points are moving to web application server development area !

And in webdynpro only the weblog/article points are added !

I had published an article in webdynpro.. for which the points were initally allocated for duplicate id of mine.. they had then deleted it and updated my points.. but in webynpro development area it still there with a blank name. (120 points…)

The system seems to be out of sync!

(And the prizes are great ! thats y am bringing this problem to sdn s notice !) 🙂
