Since SDN has started in mid 2003 it clearly focussed on developers and techies. As SAP NetWeaver or R/3 Basis in most cases serves as platform for SAP solutions we already have a substantial number of solution related content in SDN. However it still supports the technical more than the business audience. As our last survey showed a growing number of solution architects and business analysts in SDN, we decided that it’s time to actively support the business audience.

How do we plan to do this?

+ Natural growth of solution related topics + deeper integration with other SAP portals / knowledge +

Based on Single-Sign-On with SAP Service Marketplace (SMP), which went live in March, we’ve put links from the SAP NetWeaver InfoCenters to the corresponding forums in SDN. We then started a CRM devlopment forum in June, which grew in 6 weeks to more than 1500 messages in 373 topics. After such a successful start you can expect more solution discussion forums to follow in the next months. We plan to cover all solutions by late Q4. You can support us in setting the priorities which forum you would like to see first. But we felt, that it needs more than just natural growth of content & services

Start an open research project: Business Analyst

We decided to take the new audience as a starting point to enhance our current services & UI to business analysts needs. It should be designed to work in the heat and sweat and difficulty of your real world timelines, changing objectives, missing information and all the other challenges, you are facing. We have put a brief survey together, to get in touch with your real world and to better understand your various roles and challenges as well as the emerging new use-cases around Business-Process-Modelling.

So - what do I want you to do?Participate in the survey and/or ask your business analyst colleagues to answer the questionnaire Please be aware, that there are 4 different sections to provide input - the arrows at the top will guide you thru these sections.
Tell us, what solution forum you want first ( I already started topics for each SAP software – pls prioritize by responding to Vote for mySolution forum
      1. Write your own Weblog and tell the community how you found your way thru SDN

You can expect the first results to be published and discussed in late August
