The clock’s ticking as we do a retrospection of the stuff we hosted on SDN in the past year or so. I thought it is a good time to share the experiences that made us reach out to the SDN community. It all started with the Ramp-up’04 DVDs that were so unceremoniously dumped on us by SAP.

Trying to figure out a way to make sense of it all, we came up with a story-board. Its called “Creating a Comprehensive Collaborative Platform with SAP NetWeaver”. We built up the storyboard based on past experiences, to create a firm foundation to make sense of all the mindless development that you get to see so often that goes on in the SI & Customer community – all in the name of POCs or COEs for budgetary approvals!

Having got off on a firm foundation of business requirements, we started building it with the SAP NetWeaver ’04 DVDs. There were so many questions unanswered, with practically no help from SAP to figure these out. We needed a forum, and we needed it bad. SDN came to the rescue.

We figured that this was THE place to get across to people with similar issues, similar thought process, away from the marketing types, where there could be a free flow of thought & where we could speak our mind.

And that is how we got bitten by the SDN bug. Today, its an integral part of our system where we take pride in publishing content on SDN, we take pride in seeing our numbers go up – as though they were stocks!

As a motley bunch of Business Consultants, Solution Architects and Developers – we have have been contributing thought content, code snippets, demos, articles and whitepapers, blogs and solutions on SDN. Places, we got bouquets, times when we got brick-bats.

Now, as we inch closer to the 25K mark on SDN, there is a sense of pride I feel in being part of a team that is dedicated to SAP NetWeaver, dedicated to think out-of-the-box, dedicated to ensure that we use SDN to further our knowledge on SAP NetWeaver.

Thank you, SDN Community folks! Keep rocking!
