ASUG 2005 Spring Conference Sessions
There is only a week and half left now before the start the of the ASUG Spring Conference. At this point either you are attending or your not, so I’m not even going to try to persuade you. I thought I would write this weblog to give my sessions one more shameless plug. I would also like to encourage other SDN members who will be attending to write about their experiences at the conference. Finally in the tradition that Mark started with the SDN Meets Labs Sessions, I plan to post pictures from the Conference to Flickr. I plan to use the tag SDN_ASUG. In an effort to encourage others to do the same, I have a free one year Pro subscription to Flickr to give away. The first person who wants it and says so in the comments section of this weblog – gets it.
Now to the real reason I wrote this weblog. I promised to share my presentations with the SDN community. ASUG has posted all of the session presentations, but you have to be a registered member of ASUG to access them. Therefore I decided to offer my presentations via this weblog. Each presentation is in a ZIP file. The file contains the Powerpoint in addition to source code samples. Enjoy!
Session 802 Integrating SAP NetWeaver04 into Legacy SAP Environments
Learn how to integrate NetWeaver04 technologies into your existing SAP environment. We will share our system landscape; where we added a stand-alone WebAS to our R/3 4.6C environment. We will look at the technical challenges to both infrastructure and development in such a situation. We will also share some of the tips and tools that we have used to get around these challenges (Trusted RFC setup, Single Sign On, XML Interfaces, User Setup, etc).
Session 705 ABAP Web Development using BSP
This is a continuation of the presentation that I gave at Last Year’s ASUG Annual Conference, session 301 Applying our ABAP skills to Web Development. Where last year’s presentation was an introduction to BSP development, this year I would like to look at intermediate to advanced level topics such as Model-View Controller based development, and creating your own BSP Extensions.
Session 408 Working with WebServices from ABAP
See methods and techniques for creating WebServices in ABAP and consuming WebServices from ABAP. We will look at the techniques in WebAS 620 and 640 (NetWeaver 04) including a demonstration of the new client proxy generation in 640. I will also share examples of this technology in use to bridge the gap between the shop floor and our R/3 system.
I am already in Anaheim setting up Web AS on our demo machines. Looking foward to see you. Please setup by the Adobe booth. Good idea to post you presentations this way on SDN. i have two presentations and will do the same in my Blog later today.
Obviously I will aslo post Flickr pictures. I have already some uploaded. BTW I am already Flickr Pro member.
I also noticed that Flickr ignores "_" so you can just use the tag SDNASUG as well.
