At SAP Labs we recognize exceptional contributions of employees through awards. For her excellent work in the xApps team in the year 2004 Nancy Yan got the SAP Labs America Passion Award. This is why I am super happy that I could win her to present at the SDN Meets Labs Palo Alto which is only a month away.

Excerpt from the well deserved praise:

Nancy YanDuring Nancy’s tenure with SAP xApps development, she has repeatedly demonstrated her ability and dedication in striving for professional excellence in creativity, productivity, efficiency, and quality. Nancy made significant contributions to the development of the SAP xApp product that directly and positively influenced the quality and schedule, which in turn, allowed SAP xApps to gain traction in the market and produce substantial revenue within a very short time.

Together with Yin Zeng she will present the following at the SDN meets Labs in Palo Alto:

Advanced Object Search and Entry Help by Using Java Web Dynpro and ABAP

This session demonstrates advanced object search and entry help capability in Java Web Dynpro by retrieving data from ABAP systems. The advanced search can be used standalone based on ABAP search help configuration. It allows user to specify criteria in value ranges along with operators at dynamically generated Java Web Dynpro interface.

The advanced search can also be attached to any input fields to enable advance entry help. The entry help criteria and search result attributes are configured in ABAP system. Java Web Dynpro UI is dynamically generated based on R/3 search help configuration.

We rethought the seating possibilities at SAP Labs again. By moving the keynote to the cafeteria we are able now to let more people in. Therefore if you hurry you can get one of the remaining seats. Just send an email to with the title: “SDN Meets Labs Palo Alto Registration” and we will send you the information on how to sign up for it. See you all there.
